On 1st October 2024 our class 4.A went on a trip to Prague to The Lesser Town. It was a tour where we were supposed to learn more about this area in English.
As we got there our English guides were alredy waiting for us, We split into two groups, each with a different guide, and the tour began.
The guide of the group I was in was very enthusiastic . His name was Gordon and originally was German but spoke perfect English. The other guide was a typical elderly Englishman with a fine British accent. Firstly, they took us to see the Valdstejn Palace. They told us about its history and that there used to be hundreds of peacocks. We also got to see a statue made by David Černý. It had a shape of the Czech Republic and there were two men standing and weeing on the Prague spot. The guide told us that it has to do a lot with politics.
Another important place we visited was the Lennon Wall. This wall was used for protests in the past. People wrote there their wishes for world peace. Before that Beethoven also sat there. Today it´s used mostly for making photos.
We´ve seen a lot more things and I believe many of us got to see and hear some new ones. It was a good way to improve our listening skills in English although I believe we could´ve talked more.
